Occasionally a project comes along where most of the thinking has already been done, and this is one of those projects. Total structures involvement was to provide a modest rigging system for what, for our money, is a beautiful and balanced display for the Sprint Centre in Kansas City.
With an overall height of 58ft and weighing in at over 6000lbs its elegance is perhaps surprising. There are over 600 individual lights on the cascade at the center of the display, and six 52" plasma screens at the bottom of each tensioned fabric structure around the perimeter.
The entire display is supported by a custom circular grid, which provides all the support that was needed!!
