RSC Lightlock named Product of the Year by Live Design

Adding to the list of accomplishments for its first year in production, the RSC Lightlock has been named the Live Design Lighting Accessory of the year. Presented during the 2010 Broadway Lighting Master Classes, the Product of the Year awards are chosen from the equipment brought to market in the last 12 months which the voting panel feel makes the biggest changes to our industry. The awards were presented May 24 at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
Present to receive the award were Adrian Forbes-Black, Vice President of Total Structures, and Mr. Vince Herbert, the designer of the RSC Lightlock and head of the Lighting Department for the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford Upon Avon, United Kingdom.
This award adds to the accolades heaped upon the RSC Lightlock in its debut year. In addition, it has also been recognized as the best debuting product for rigging and staging equipment by Live Design at LDI 2009, best new lighting product by the readers of iSquint.com, and received the only ever PLASA Gold Award for Innovation when shown in 2008. The RSC Lightlock can be seen in use on tour with Rush, Lady Gaga, on Bon Jovi's Circles Tour, and on Broadway as part of Don Holder's lighting design for Promises, Promises.
