Total Structures engineered and manufactured a mother grid for installation in the unusual Boston Bank Pavilion 2 years ago. It is an unusual venue in that it is a combination of traditional steel construction and tensioned fabric structure.
The stunning photographs shown here were taken during its recent annual inspection. The grid itself is actually cantilevered down stage of the steel stage house area and diagonal cable braces were installed to help support this area of the grid which included the fly bays for the sound equipment.
The truss was also engineered to accommodate a fall protection system that is permanently installed to the truss.
