This summer we have been busy on a number of projects, some high profile, some not....
2006 is really becoming the year of new wave. As well as the order for the BBC (see article “World Champions - new wave at the FIFA World Cup”) we have also produced custom new wave trade show stands for a number of companies, including entertainment industry colleagues Columbus McKinnon and Renaissance Lighting.
Total Structures have also supplied an extremely large ground support system to 3AM Studios, the company that helped Superman fly in his latest blockbuster. The Medium Duty and ladder grid measured over 60 x 40ft and is used for performer flying effects.
Seen the TV adverts for those crazy guys doing the televised Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting? See the ring with the fence from stopping them from getting out (or perhaps the crowd in!)? Guess who made yet another this summer bringing the total number manufactured to three?
As usual so far this year we have built our fair share of rooftops for the summer season. We are now working on some design improvements that will be available for the 2007 season. Watch out for more information in the fall.
Finally there is one very large theme park job that involved a 92ft span goalpost truss on two 45ft tall towers. We would love to tell you about and show you pictures, however our contract prevents us from doing so. Sorry! |
